Your Privacy
This privacy policy sets out how I use and protect any information you give me.
Storage of information about you
The personal information you give me is stored separately from session notes to ensure anonymity. Both sets of data are stored securely. This information will be held for seven years before being securely destroyed, unless there is a legal requirement for me to keep it.
Sharing information about you
As required by my professional body, I have regular supervision during which I share information about you, referring to you by first name only. My supervisor is bound by the same code of ethics as myself. Information about you may also be shared with other professionals such as your GP if necessary, as outlined in the confidentiality agreement above, or if there is a legal requirement for me to do so.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to the information I hold about you. You also have the right to ask me to update, correct or delete the information I hold about you, free of charge. Please see guidance at www.ico.org.uk
Making a complaint
I am registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you wish to make a complaint about me with regards to the collection and use of your data, please contact the ICO at www.ico.org.uk
